1 Month Later

"No. Wait." I held my hand up, staring at the two of them with my serious face.

"I mean it." I cautiously retreated backwards, my eyes never leaving their green ones.

"Okay." I sighed, now a safe distance away. "Now you can eat."

As soon as I gave permission, both Elena and Marina went to work. Marina was in her high chair, picking up pieces of pasta with her little chubby hands. Meanwhile, Elena was sitting in a chair next to her, eating her pasta with her little fork.

They were the two messiest eaters I'd ever encountered in my 26 years on this planet.

At 3 years old, Elena had a talent of flinging her food around with her fork or spoon, whichever utensil she was using. At 9 months old, Marina wasn't far behind. She got food fucking everywhere when she ate.

And somehow, I always found myself being the one to give them their food.

The rest of the idiots in this house conveniently disappeared whenever it was feeding time at this little zoo.

Even Agata and Greta always found something to be doing when it was time for the young ones to have their food.

And since I was the one who loved playing with them the most, I was automatically the one who apparently had to feed them too.

"Is it nice?" I smiled, sitting two chairs away from Elena while she ate. I've tried three chairs away, but she got upset with me. She has a very similar temper to Riviera.

"Mhm." She nodded, her little curls bouncing. "Want some?"

She put some pasta on her fork before holding it in my direction. Her movements were a little too uncoordinated and rushed, causing the piece of pasta to go flying off her fork.

Thankfully, it landed near me on the table instead of on my clothes - again.

"Thanks, baby." I smiled, causing her to grin. She then turned her attention back to her food, giving me the chance to clean up the pasta with a tissue.

"Like it?" She spoke through another bite of pasta.

"Yes, it was so nice. Thank you for sharing." I smiled, hiding the tissue in my hand under the table. The world would end if she found out I never ate it.
