@keisasaki - shd i pck u up?
Evan blearily fumbled with his phone. It was Saturday morning. He groaned, it was only seven. He'd gotten like three hours of sleep. Regardless, he tapped out a reply to Kei.
@evan - yeah, when?
Kei saw the message immediately.
@keisasaki - uh, now?
He blinked rapidly in an attempt to rid himself of his tiredness. Holy shit. Now? Was he crazy? It was literally seven in the morning. Did Kei just casually wake up this early every day?
Despite all his better judgement, he agreed.
@evan - sure, see you soon
He grumbled his way out of bed, stumbling like a zombie into the bathroom. He rapidly brushed his teeth and shrugged on a sweater and shorts. He looked ridiculous, but Kei was no fashion icon himself, he basically lived in workout clothes. He paused.
Should he like— put effort into his outfit? Was that what people did when they liked someone? He gnawed on his lip nervously. He trudged back to his room, inspecting his clothes.
Nothing stood out to him. His entire wardrobe was made up of sweaters and jeans.
After about five seconds of contemplation he gave up. He slung his bag over his shoulder, leaving the room quickly. He padded down the stairs and straight into the kitchen, going for his favourite mug for coffee. He'd barely made it when his phone buzzed.
@keisasaki - here :)
Shit he was fast, it was barely 7:30. Evan wasn't complaining though, this way he'd have the entire day to hang out. He turned for the hall, almost jumping out of his skin as he found Ethan standing there looking slightly disgruntled, his hood pulled up over his head, with his phone in hand.
"What are you doing? You're never up before like 12 on weekends," He muttered.
Evan shrugged, "Going out."
Ethan raised an eyebrow, "Where?"
"Willows."
Ethan blinked, "She never gets up before 12 either."
Evan just waved him off, "Movie day."
Ethan seemed to accept that, brushing past Evan into the kitchen, going straight for his protein bar stash. "Mmk."
He left, sliding his vans on haphazardly so as to not spill his coffee. He stumbled out the door, making his way down the road. Kei always seemed to park slightly down the road. Evan wondered why, though he silently thanked him for it.
Explaining to Ethan why he was suddenly hanging out with his best friend at seven in the morning would be a strange experience.
He spotted Kei immediately. The boy sat on his phone in the car, idly scrolling. His black hair fell gently over his forehead.
Evan approached, knocking gently on the window. Kei's head snapped up, grinning. Evan tugged open the door and sat down, cradling his coffee between his hands.
"Hey—"
"Hi," Evan smiled.
"You look sleepy," Kei commented.
Evan nodded, "I was reading a good book, didn't sleep till like 4."
Kei's eyes widened in concern, "And you let me drag you out of the house with like 3 hours of sleep?"
Evan sipped his coffee. "It's okay, i was awake and—"
"I have a giant bean bag chair, you can have a nap in it," Kei announced.
