Evan woke up to a blaring alarm. Beside him, Kei groaned. Evan had his head tucked into the crook of Kei's neck, and clung onto him as he shifted to grab his phone and turn off the alarm.

"Shit," Kei croaked, "We're late."

"Hm?"

Kei turned his phone around, displaying the time.

"O'mfuck," Evan warbled, jolting upright. It was almost seven. They were really late. He scrabbled at his own phone which had been shoved haphazardly under a pillow and opened it to find his phone filled with texts, mostly from Ethan, then Oliver.

He ignored the messages.

"Dammit," Evan groaned. So much for being subtle. Him and Kei were about to waltz into practice looking like sleep deprived wrecks.

Kei seemed to be running through that exact same thought process. He looked dishevelled, blanket half trailing off his bare shoulders, and hair plastered back over his head, making him look like he'd been electrocuted.

Evan probably looked worse.

@oliverr - why are you and kei not at practice ? suspicious much ... do you idiots want to get caught or something ?

Evan shot a look up at Kei, then back at his phone. Of course Oliver would catch on immediately.

"Should we just— not go?" Kei uttered, turning sheepishly to Evan. "Would we get in trouble?"

Evan blinked, "It's half over already, so—" he shrugged, "Is that too obvious?"

Kei stared, "Probably."

"We should think of an excuse—"

"What? Sick? Could we be sick?"

"Oliver would cover for us," Evan uttered, Kei paused. "Him and Willow basically already know, I mean not about you, but they sort of d-do, I mean Oliver had us both figured out way before we did and—"

"Ollie knows?" Kei cut in.

Evan paused, "Um, s-sort of."

Kei was quiet for a second, then he nodded slowly. "O-oh, that's kind of a relief actually."

"So—"

"I'll say I was at Willows," Evan uttered.

"And I was at Ollies?" Kei finished.

Evan nodded, "Both sick?"

Kei nodded, whipping out his phone. "Yup."

Evan shot out a text to Willow.

@evan - hi i was at yours last night if anyone asks

Immediately Willow replied.

@willowie - only if you tell me why ;)

@willowie - did it happen??????????

@evan - i'm also sick, thanks
