Raven's POV

"I thought you had a dinner date," I said as I kept my back turned to him.

He stepped beside me in his suit. "Already went."

I looked down at the book in his hand and rolled my eyes.

"Are you this rude all the time?" He asked me and I raised my eyebrow.

"What?"

He looked down. "You kind of have an attitude."

"So what?" I asked, feeling offended.

"Can you stop?" He asked.

"Stop being myself?" I asked back. "No."

"I'm not asking you to stop being yourself," he said. "I just want you to be a little nicer."

I crossed my arms. "Why?"

"Because I have feelings," he said softly and I froze at his words.

He exhaled before walking to his desk and placing the book on it. "Forget it. What are we doing next?"

I uncrossed my arms as I watched him. "Well, you said you wanted a tattoo, right?"

He nodded.

"Can you go tonight?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"I can't," he said. "But I can tomorrow."

"Okay," I nodded as I thought about what we could do instead.

Before I could come up with something, he spoke.

"Do you want to kiss again?" He asked.

"I thought we were only doing firsts?" I asked him.

"We are, but I liked it and I want to do it again," he answered honestly.

I raised my eyebrow, taken aback by his bluntness.

I secretly liked it too, but I would rather die than admit that to him.

"Just this once and I'm charging you extra," I said coldly to him and he smiled.

He closed the distance between us before he wrapped his arm around my waist, just like I had taught him, and gently lowered me on to the bed.

My hands reached to his glasses before I took them off. "Can you see without them?"

He shook his head. "Not really, but that's the least of my priorities."

I held in my smile as he lowered his soft lips against mine.

It wasn't like the last time, it was better.

We had figured out each other.

His kisses were soft and gentle—way different from my others, but I liked them.
