Raven's POV
I checked my watch before looking back at the door.
"You sure your guy is gonna to show?" Jeffy, my tattoo artist, asked.
"He'll show," I said, texting Cassian again. "Just give him a few minutes."
Jeffy shrugged as he leaned back in his chair. "Your dime, not mine."
I tapped my foot against the floor as I looked at our chat.
No response.
"Rich kids are always the same," Jeffy mumbled. "They flake the second shit gets real."
"He's gonna show!" I angrily snapped. "He's different. He's one of the humble ones...kinda."
He raised his hands in surrender. "Jeez, why are you so defensive? You two a thing?"
"No," I scoffed. "I barely know him. I just need to get this money to give to Ryan."
"How is he?" He asked.
"I don't know and I don't care," I said. "He's selfish asshole."
The door creaked open, and Cassian stepped in with a cap on his head and sunglasses.
His body guard was right behind him.
"There you are," Jeffy said as he stood up and shook Cassian's hand.
"Sorry I'm late," he said. "My parents decided to return. Had to sneak out."
"That's no problem," Jeffy smiled as he led him to his seat. "Now, it's time for you to pick your design."
My eyes lowered to Cassian's neck.
He had covered his hickeys with makeup and had his hoodie on just to be safe.
I, on the other hand, left mine exposed.
I did it on purpose to torture him.
When he passed me in class today, the shock on his face was priceless.
Cassian cleared his throat as he showed Jeffy his phone. "I brought my own design. Can you do it?"
It was a crescent moon with red and green stars.
"You drew this yourself?" Jeffy asked and Cassian silently nodded. "Nice. Where do you want it?"
He lifted his shirt, revealing his toned chest, and pointed to his left side. "Here."
Jeffy nodded as he prepared his tools. "Good choice. You sure about the stars being red and green? I don't want you to have regrets later."
Cassian hesitated before answering, his gaze fixed on his sketch. "Yeah, they aren't just random colors to me."
I tilted my head as I watched him, curious but deciding not to press further.
Jeffy laughed. "Alright, this might sting a bit."
