Cassian's POV
I kept my head down while my parents and I silently ate breakfast.
My mom suddenly looked at me with a smile. "How was your studying session?"
"Huh?" I asked, barely awake.
"Last night," she explained and I nodded.
"Good," I said before my father slammed the colour card in front of me.
"Name that."

Suddenly all sorts of thoughts appeared in my head which worried me immensely.
First, it was Carter and when he would tell everyone about me.
Next, it was my father's unrealistic expectations.
Then, it was Alexander.
"Cassian!" A voice called before I turned to Chloe, Sophie, and Raven heading my way.
"We were just talking about the group project for Mr. Hartley's class," Sophie smiled.
I blinked. "What group project?"
"The one you were assigned to today," Sophie smiled brighter. "You're with us."
I frowned. "I don't remember being assigned to-"
