Friday morning practice went by quickly. The team played like a well oiled machine. After, Evan planted himself on the bench, planning out his afternoon of tutoring sessions. Since he'd be away for volleyball, he'd had to stack all of his monday tuesday sessions onto friday.
He was glued to his phone, organising his timetable.
Sighing, he set his phone down, waiting for the new timetable to load. While waiting he turned to change quickly.
He reached for his sweater, shrugging off his gym shirt in the process.
Beside him, Hugo turned to face him, and as he did, he blinked in surprise.
"Holy shit Evan—" he uttered, sounding more impressed than anything.
"What?" he mumbled offhandedly, noticing his phone had stopped buffering, he paused, reaching for it, deciding to shift his five o'clock back to five thirty, figuring practice would run late.
"You must be getting mad action, the fuck—" Hugo laughed.
He blinked, "Huh?" Evan looked up from his phone, and instantly realised his mistake. "Oh fuck," he uttered, almost dropping his phone as he lunged for his sweater.
How did this keep happening to him?
He was fucking covered in hickeys. Again... How did he keep forgetting? Seriously, at this point, these predicaments he kept getting himself into were entirely his fault.
How hard was it to just remember and go change in the bathroom? Seriously, he was an idiot.
At least this was better than his Dad finding out, by such a large margin it was barely even a comparison.
Hugo snickered, and as he did, on his other side, Luke looked up.
Immediately he let out a bark of laughter. "Nice one dude," Luke snorted.
Evan sheepishly yanked on his shirt, then sweater. "Erm—" he coughed awkwardly, unable to look the two of them in the eyes, "Just ignore that."
Hugo waved him off, "Lucky bastard, I guess being friends with so many girls pays off huh."
Evan just shrugged, hurriedly pulling on his shoes. "Um, a bit—" he managed awkwardly.
Kei chose that moment to dump his stuff on Hugo's left, rummaging through his bag.
Hugo turned to him.
"Kei, did you know Evan's a total player?" Hugo questioned.
Kei blinked, looking amused. "He is?"
"Yeah, some girl went to town on him—" Luke piped in with another snort of laughter.
Hugo turned, looking desperate. "Care to share, my love life is drier than a fucking desert right now..."
Evan almost laughed, and across from Hugo, so did Kei, who had to visibly bite down on his lip to stop himself from laughing.
God, if only Hugo knew what he was asking.
"Let me live vicariously through you right now," Hugo groaned. "Seriously, I'm desperate."
"Erm— no," Evan uttered, promptly finishing with his shoes.
Then, a grating, pestering voice carried across the bench.
"As if those were from a girl," Dan drawled, sitting a few lockers down from Luke, phone in hand, looking dour.
