41|Game Day

Raven's POV

"Cassian, what am I doing?" I asked as my nerves got the best of me.

He tightened his grip around me as we hugged. "You're going to win."

"I'm in way over my head right now," I panicked. "I had never picked up a tennis racket in my life before a couple months ago."

"Now, you're the best of the best," he said and I could tell he was secretly laughing at me.

"How the hell did I expect to get into Harvard?" I finally began thinking realistically. "It's Harvard!"

"Raven," he said as we released from our hug.

"I've seen you put in the work," he smiled. "If anyone can win this, it's you."

"We'll still have sex even if I lose, right?" I frowned. "I'm really horny and the wait is driving me insane."

He laughed before pulling me back into a hug. "Yes, Raven."

I felt relieved as I held him and closed my eyes.

Not even ten seconds passed before a throat cleared.

We quickly separated to see Sophie and Emma.

"Are you okay?" Sophie asked and I nodded.

"He gives good pep talks," I complimented my boyfriend and he smiled.

"Are you ready?" Emma smiled. "Don't worry, I have your back. If you mess up in the first round-"

"I won't," I made a promise I intended on keeping.

She smiled. "Good, let's go. Everyone's waiting."

I nodded before we all walked out together.

When the crowd saw me, the began to cheer loudly.

I quickly glanced at them to see two familiar faces.

Ryan and Selene were cheering at the top of their lungs.

Beside Selene was an older man, who looked just like her.

She had a poster with my name on it as she proudly jumped up and down.

I smiled widely as I waved to them.

Cassian gave me a thumbs up with an adorable smile as he followed Emma and Sophie to the side.

I looked around some more before my eyes landed on the Harvard scout.

He had a serious look on his face as he wrote something down.
