Raven's POV

"Ugh!" Sophie angrily groaned out loud as she popped another painkiller.

"Don't you think you've had enough?" Sophie asked her.

"I'll know when I've had enough when the pain goes away," she answered.

I sighed before taking away the pills from her and putting them in my bag. "You can also have an overdose."

"My mom takes these all the time," she argued. "I'll be fine guys."

"I bet you will," I smiled, taking two for myself and swallowing them down with water.

"Raven," Sophie suddenly said, looking at me. "Chloe forgot her phone so I came back last night."

I stiffened before looking down at my assignment. "Oh, really?"

She nodded. "Yeah, but I didn't see you."

I shrugged. "Oh, I must have been asleep. I left his bedroom right after you guys."

She silently nodded. "Okay."

The air suddenly got tensed and I couldn't tell if I was being paranoid or not.

"I should get going," I awkwardly said.

"Wait," Chloe said, standing up. "You can't go and see Lockwood looking like that."

I looked down at myself. "What's wrong?"

"You clearly didn't learn anything with your apology incident in the auditorium," Sophie mumbled.

"Don't be rude, Sophie," Chloe told her before pulling down my skirt so that it appeared longer.

She held me tuck my shirt into my skirt and adjusted my tie.

"Your blazer is all rumpled," she cursed as she took off my blazer and exchanged it with hers. "Now you're good to go."

I smiled before turning around and heading to the hallway.

As I turned the corner, my eyes landed on Cassian as he and his security walked in my direction.

Things have been a bit awkward since last night.

He wanted me to say that I deserved him, but quite frankly I don't think I do.

All I do is mess shit up.

He slowed down before stopping altogether. "Raven."

I looked away from him.

"Am I doing something wrong?" He asked and I looked up at him.

"What?" I asked. "No...of course not."

"Then why are you ignoring me?" He asked.

I looked away again. "I'm not ignoring you. I just need space."
