When Raven agrees to help sheltered Cassian complete his list of firsts in exchange for cash, it's strictly business-until their deal ignites an undeniable chemistry neither of them saw coming.

Raven's POV
I held my head as I tried to concentrate on the exam.
This has been the longest school year of my life.
We still had one more month left to go, but seniors have their exams earlier, so that they can "chill".
The past five months haven't been the easiest for me.
I got closer with my parents, but I lost everyone else.
Cassian constantly lived on my mind.
When I go to sleep, I think of him.
When I eat, I think of him.
When I'm in the shower, I think of him.
All I do is think of him.
I'm thinking about him right now, for crying out loud.
"Okay, time's up, guys," Ms. Lee said, walking around to pick up our papers.
I bit my lower lip and clenched my fist when I looked down at my blank page.
Psychology was supposed to be my strong area.
Sophie, Chloe, and Cassian walked out together, not even taking a glance at me.
I deserve that.
I was nothing, but a bitch that day.
Ms. Lee paused as she looked at my paper. "Raven."
I stood up, grabbing my pencils.
"Just because you got into Harvard doesn't mean you can slack off," she said. "I thought Principal Lockwood explained this already."
"You're on a scholarship that the school is paying for," she continued. "If we're seeing that you aren't putting in the effort, we can easily pull out."
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
"Raven, what's wrong?" She asked. "If you could just tell me-"
"I'm fine," I cut her off. "I'm sorry I disappointed you on the final exam."
She frowned and without another word, I rushed out.
I found my way into a private room.
I usually spend my days in here instead of the lounge or any other public hang out.
The less people see me, the better.
I even distanced myself from Carter after pulling out my knife and threatening to stab him to death for grabbing my ass.
That wasn't in our deal.
It was a couple minutes after Cassian rushed out.
My phone buzzed and I checked the family group chat.
