55 ~ the night before friday

[A/N - smut warning hello. like in the middle of the chapter. can totally skip if you so wish. important part after that however. woo]

Hugo groaned, collapsing onto the floor, head in his hands.

"I can't believe you were fucking right—" he cried at Luke.

Luke turned on a taken aback Evan and Kei.

"So— how long?"

Kei shrugged, "Two months?"

Luke whacked Hugo comically on the shoulder again. "Hah, another twenty."

Hugo muttered profanities under his breath as he pulled out his phone, presumably to transfer the money.

"Wait, so, you guys... Knew?" Kei said tentatively.

Luke grinned, "No, not really, just a guess."

"You guessed?" Kei laughed, "No one else had a clue."

At that Luke looked slightly sheepish. "Uh well, maybe more of an educated guess—"

Kei blinked. "Huh?"

Luke cleared his throat, "Well, the uh, the lake—" he grimaced, "When Mia and I had the room next to you, er—" he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "The walls are sorta thin."

At that, Kei let out a bark of laughter, and Evans' face went up in flames.

"Hold on—" Hugo cried, "You knew? That's cheating— s-so you tricked me out of my money?" He looked offended. "You prick—"

Luke snorted, "You fell for it—"

At that, Hugo let out an indignant cry, and the two of them fell into a stream of bickering.

Evan turned to Kei, who had a soft smile on his face.

"Oh—" Hugo piped up, "Wait, there's one left— Kei, did you know you were gay before Evan?"

Kei nodded, "Yeah—"

"YES—" Hugo cried, standing up to jab a finger at Luke, "Suck on that— give me back twenty."

Luke actually looked surprised. He turned to Kei. "Really?"

Kei nodded, "Mhm," he shot a look at Hugo, "You're telling me you knew?"

Hugo snorted, "Oh please Kei, you remember your avengers phase? You acted the same way about Bucky Barnes as my fifteen year old sisters. Seriously, that obsession was on another level— this isn't all that surprising considering."

Kei looked sheepish at that.

Evan turned to Kei indignantly, "You never told me about—"

"It was years ago—"

"Evan, does this mean you've been to his house?" Hugo piped up, "Tell me, is it a Bucky shrine?"

Evan grinned, "There's like one avengers poster—"

"A Bucky one?"

Evan paused, trying to recall the poster. "Wait who's bucky again?"

Then, Kei sent him the most affronted look Evan had ever seen on him.

"Sorry— you don't know who Bucky is?" he cried, totally distraught.

Hugo had started laughing at that, and Luke looked like he was holding back his own.

Evan furrowed his brow in thought, "Uh, the wings one?" he paused, "Oh no— metal arm right?"

Kei looked like he was about to pass out. "Oh my god—"
