[A/N - guys i had to haha. I always gotta put some silly goofy vibes before the trauma okay.]
How Evan let himself get talked into this, he had no idea.
At least the whole thing seemed to improve Ethans spirits after Friday's shit show. He threw himself into convincing him it was a good idea.
So, as Evan sat on a stool in the bathroom, with Riley cutting his hair to match Ethans, he seriously questioned his life choices.
It was a Wednesday evening, with just a few days and the weekend until the tournament, when Ethan finally convinced him to do it.
Kei trailed after them, looking bewildered.
"Sorry, you're planning on doing what?"
"We're gonna swap," Ethan said, as if that explained everything.
"I really don't think you guys look that similar," Kei uttered.
"We do," Ethan uttered dumbly, "We're identical twins Kei. Identical is literally in the name."
Kei sighed, "Dude, I know, I just mean I don't think you'll get away with it."
The lot of the trudged to the bathroom so as not to make a mess.
Oliver's house had become busy, what with the lot of them taking refuge in his spare rooms. Most nights that week had at least six of them all hanging around.
Eve and Jen were delighted, perpetually showering them with snacks.
Oliver and Willow also followed, looking intrigued. "I mean, it's really just the personalities that make you different, and the clothes—" Willow started.
"And the hair, glasses too," Oliver mused.
"All of which are additions, not actual features" Willow reasoned, "I think you'd be surprised."
"We can test it on the team tomorrow, at school," Ethan uttered, "If they don't notice, then I reckon it's possible."
There was no dissuading Ethan when he got going like this, so— Evan just gave in.
Evan groaned as Riley pulled out a chair, "I can't believe I have to cut my hair for this."
Ethan rolled his eyes, "Mines barely shorter, come on."
He did need a haircut. So— against all better judgement, he let it happen.
Kei parked himself on the edge of the bathtub, while Willow, Oliver, Ethan and Riley all piled into the bathroom.
Kei had settled for ignoring Riley.
Soon enough, Riley got to work, with Oliver assisting, being the only one who knew how to work a pair of hair clippers.
Then, at the end of it, Evan stood as the two of them inspected their job, comparing it to Ethan. "I think we got it," Oliver nodded.
Evan dusted himself free of hair, while Ethan popped out his contacts, holding his hand out expectantly for Evans glasses, which he handed over reluctantly.
"Give me one of your sweaters, and jeans," Ethan uttered, "Hold on, I'll grab mine."
So, Evan grabbed the outfit he most frequented, jeans and ugly knitted sweater and handed it off to his brother, while Ethan handed over his god forsaken signature shorts and the sleeveless nike workout shirt he wore every day without fail.
Kei followed him to their bedroom, and watched, wide eyed as he changed.
"I can't believe you agreed to this?"
