{After OoT/MM fic}
Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land.
No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget.
But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer.
Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves.

. DISCLAIMER .
While this story is a war story, so it features violence, some gore, and death, it has many lighthearted moments and tons of (attempted) comedy. So enjoy and read at your own risk.
Heavily inspired by Rose Zemlya's fic, LOZ:The Return (it's on ff.net, I recommend reading it!!)
Characters, world, etc. belong to Nintendo

As Time's Wheel turned, Hyrule's ancient legends of kings, queens, and heroic knights in green slowly faded into myths. In the modern day Hyrule, everything seemed perfect; its economy flourished, its stocks rose like never before, its citizens were happy, and its military was one of the best in the world.
That is all until Hyrule's neighboring nation, Gerudia, conducted a large scale invasion of its surrounding countries. Led by the former leader of a terrorist organization known for causing mass genocide and destruction, Ganondorf Dragmire and his nation plan to show the world the true power of a long forgotten magical element.
