Just your average teenager trying to live her life Lexi Fayers is like any other girl. Only things don't go the way she'd planned when one night at the annual carnival something terrible happens.

Carla Madsen er en dansk ung og frisk pige der er i sit tyvende år. I året 2010 rejste hun til London med sin tvillingesøster Darcy i næsten to måneder, og stødte på en ellers ret så pudselig dreng. De opbyggede et rigtig godt venskab og flirtede lidt frem og tilbage. Carla fandt hurtigt ud af at hendes nye ven, var deltager i det britiske x factor og var ret kendt. Men deres "forhold" blev hurtig afsluttet da Carla ser ham med en anden tøs på dagen hende og Darcy skulle hjem. Carla var heartbroken, og lukkede pludselig fuldstændig af for sine følelser. Smerten var for stor til at håndtere, så det endte med at Carla startede at drikke som et hul i jorden for at holde ud. Blot 4 år efter i året 2014 rejser de to tøser atter tilbage til deres drømmeland. Darcy vil nemlig prøve at få Carla til at åbne op igen ved at tage hende tilbage til England. Hvad vil der ske når følelserne pludselig hober sig op for den 20 årige Carla, når hun finder ud af hvad turen til England egentlig handler om.
