Ghirahim and I had returned to Kakariko Village, but not without many protests from him. However, I wanted to stock up again on potions – buying triple the amount I had last time – and we needed a good night's rest after that temple. The innkeeper, along with many villagers, were startled by my missing eye and the colour of the remaining one. However, I explained that it was an effect from the last temple I cleansed, and they quickly softened in understanding. But I didn't miss the skeptical glances they sent Ghirahim's way, as if he caused it, which irritated me. If I had concrete proof, I'd have defended him. But I couldn't chance them backing out from the accusation, despite the obvious expressions on their faces proving otherwise.

Now, it's the next morning and we're sitting on the edge of the bed that's to the left of the room when you first enter. Ghirahim is wrapping my eye with new bandages, adding a creamy, frigid solvent that speeds healing and prevents infections – which I had purchased yesterday from the potion maker. After he ties up the bandage, I carefully put on my forest green tunic to avoid moving the bandages at all.

"It has improved considerably," Ghirahim comments, pointing to my eye when I look up in a bit of confusion. "It appears my vast knowledge, naturally, worked miracles."

Snorting at his egotistical remark and smug tone after I stand up, I strap on my baldric belt and make sure it's fastened securely and comfortably.

"Oh, do not behave ungratefully, Skychild," He purrs, his body now pressed against my left side and his burning lips graze my ear. His balmy breath sends tingles over dangerous areas of my body from my nickname. "It is discourteous not to compensate those who have so generously aided you."

Suddenly, my mouth feels dry, and my body is flaring with heat. Despite just finishing dressing, I now want nothing more than to remove all my gear and clothes, remove Ghirahim's, then show him how grateful I really am in the very bed we slept in together last night; despite the room having two beds. But are we ready to move to that level? We agreed to take things slowly, since we're still different each life and need to learn more about each other. However, how much more can you know someone, than to see their dark side and still love them, right?

My heart thrashes against my ribs as I decisively grab hold of Ghirahim's cape by the collar and pull him down to me. Our lips crash together, fire and lightning exploding from the contact. Our lips move in uniformity, matching each others' movements. With my free hand, I unbuckle the cold clasp on my baldric belt and hear my weapons fall to the ground with a crashing thud. Ghirahim's body jolts from the sudden sound, but I keep our lips locked as I thread my hand between the overlapping layers that keep his cloak closed. Wrapping my arm around Ghirahim's waist, I kick off my boots and pull him closer as I push him backward toward the bed behind us.

Once Ghirahim's leg hits the wooden frame, I unlatch his cloak, pulling it off as I push him onto the bed. Dropping his cloak to the floor, I see Ghirahim prop himself on his elbows and look up at me with astounded, lust-dark eyes; his chest heaving for air from our passionate kiss. Smiling mischievously for what feels like the first time in my life, I pull off my tunic and undershirt all at once, dropping them to the floor. Climbing on top of Ghirahim, I straddle his waist and pull off my gauntlets, throwing them onto my other clothes.

"What has possessed you, Skychild?" Ghirahim purrs my nickname, sending a pulse of excitement low in my body, making my pants uncomfortably tight.

"Showing my gratitude by advancing our relationship, if you'll allow that," I reply huskily as I stare into his darkening eyes.

When he nods, I crash my lips to his smirking, pale ones. A groan flutters from his throat and I run a hand through his silky hair as his gloved hands start to clutch at my bare back. That needs to change.
