It has been one entire year since I've moved into Ghirahim's castle and have lived by his side as his royal guard amongst demons. It took some adjusting and adapting to the new customs and traditions, along with the citizens. The denizens dress just as flamboyantly as Ghirahim, some even attempting to outshine him. And those without markings attempt to replicate them through face paint, so it's hard for me to distinguish nobles from common folk. However, Ghirahim has helped me to slowly see the differences by subtly expecting the markings for even the slightest uneven line, since markings are always perfectly made, while the hand will always make a small mistake, even if it is miniscule.

When we arrived here the first day, a surprising amount of people were ecstatic to see Ghirahim again. His entire castle staff were overjoyed and most of the citizens were crying out in happiness. Yes, there were some who despised his return and wished for Demise's reincarnation to lead them, instead of Ghirahim. However, the majority won. Now, Ghirahim is a King once more, ruling his people as he had done in our previous life, with me by his side as a guard then, as well. Strangely, that memory was never remembered by me until I started living the same way again.

Zelda in that life was also upset with my choice. It seems my desires will always clash with hers, and I will always upset her, as a result. I must admit that I still feel bad for hurting her feelings. She has helped me throughout my adventures in many ways. I've always been loyal to her. Yet, my love for Ghirahim is what sets her and I apart.

I let out a short sigh through my nose as I lean on a pillar outside of Ghirahim and I's room. He's changing for a meeting with the nobles of the different regions demons secretly inhabit, to discuss issues and help to create resolutions for them. I wish my choices didn't have to hurt people. But I'm always going to hurt someone, am I not? That is the job of a hero and guard; to hurt someone to protect another. It's a necessary evil, as I've heard some say.

Despite no longer being in Hyrule, I've continued to wear my signature attire that I had when I was Hyrule's hero. Technically, I still am, and always will be, so long as Ganon returns to try and corrupt the land and rule it for his own. But now that he has been sent away from this realm and is now in the Twilight Realm, I hope that he will give Hyrule, and I, a break for the remainder of this life. I'd very much like to enjoy my life with Ghirahim now, instead of constantly worrying for our safety on an adventure. Yes, Ghirahim is King now, and there are those who may attempt a rebellion, or assassination. However, I know I can handle any whom dare to do so. But I've had my fill of adventure for this life now. All I wish for my life now is to run its course beside Ghirahim's.

Adjusting my baldric belt, I look behind my shoulder at my Hylian shield and my new sword. After making me his official guard, which only took a spar with the current guard captain and an official demand by Ghirahim himself, Ghirahim made me a new sword with his magic. With a golden hilt that has a white ring before the hand guard and one before the pommel, the hilt itself is wrapped in an indigo grip, while the pommel has a clear gem in the middle of it. The hand guard is golden, with wings that face down toward the pommel and a golden symbol of the royal family of Hyrule is above it – to symbolize that I am from Hyrule, as Ghirahim had told me.

The blade itself is a simple looking steel, with a golden trim around the fuller and diamond, demon runes along the middle of fuller of the blade, representing my ties to the royal demon family. The scabbard is simple but is an ocean blue with golden painted accents at the locket and chape, demon runes along them, as well. Ghirahim had told me that he made the scabbard and sword look as much like my royal guard sword when I was an Imperial Guard for Hyrule, while mixing it with the colour schemes of the Master Sword, along with making it look like the golden and silver rune blades that the royal guards of the demon royal family use.
