"JOHN KRASINSKI COULD RUN me over with a truck and I'd give him an expensive fruit basket," Lena comments as she pops a piece of popcorn into her mouth.

Graham rolls his eyes. "He isn't even that good-looking in this show. He looks so plain."

"I would throw this piece of popcorn at you if I could, but I can't, so I'm going to eat it instead," she says, glaring at him on her computer screen. She doesn't feel up to doing her homework right now. To cope, she'd called Graham on Skype so they could simultaneously watch The Office together. She pointedly eats the popcorn and crunches down on it harder than necessary.

Graham merely rolls his eyes again so they can continue watching without further argument. She'd put Pa's iPad in front of her laptop and angled it so she could see Graham and the show at the same time. It's not the most convenient of setups, but at least it's something.

The smell of babingka wafts through her door, filling the entire apartment with the scent of coconut. She'd pleaded with Ma to make the dessert tonight so she could give some to Peter tomorrow and not be a total liar. Because Ma is obsessed with Peter for some reason, she'd agreed with no complaints.

"Hey, did you ask Ned if he was taking anyone to Homecoming?" Graham asks, causing Lena to pause the show so she can respond.

"Yeah," she answers with a frown. "He's taking Michelle."

Graham's eyebrow crinkles. "Really? I thought she had an obscure poetry club meeting or something."

"She's skipping." Lena pops another piece of popcorn in her mouth in an attempt to seem unbothered.

Isn't this what she'd wanted all along? Not to go to an expensive and over-hyped dance? But now she's beginning to realize that all of her friends are going, so she'll be alone and left to her own devices for the day. She could help Graham get ready, but he'll have his parents and brothers there to assist him. Cindy's older sister is doing her hair and makeup. Going over Peter's seems weird to her. Maybe she can catch up on her reading of Lord of the Rings or get a head start on some homework.

There's a knock at her window. Lena looks to her left to see a hunched figure on the ledge, their face half-obscured by shadows and by the blue hood pulled over their head.

Her eyes widen. She looks back at her webcam and mouths, "Peter."

"Talk to him," Graham urges. "We've both seen the entire series already, anyways."

Lena pouts. She feels bad for hanging up on Graham, but also kind of wants to see why Peter Parker is tapping on her window at eight in the evening.
