It may seem like an astonishing quirk given by the gods, but in reality, to her, it's a curse. She can see everyone's time that they have left, including herself. If she wanted to, she could live on for eternity, but that isn't how she was raised. So she instead gives her time to save her loved ones, giving them more time to live. So why not put it in action on becoming a hero who saves people on a daily.
